Will it be difficult to assemble the printed parts?”

After learning more, we discovered that this customer is a ship model enthusiast. He had recently purchased a Bambu Lab P1 series printer and started printing a cruise ship model. The model consisted of over 400 STL files, and it took him 55 hours and 23 spools of filament to complete the printing process.

However, during the assembly, he found that the model’s dimensions were inaccurate, making it difficult to fit the parts together. Many components need to be sanded down just to make them fit. Sometimes, he had to apply considerable force to assemble the parts, which occasionally led to damage due to excessive pressure.

After struggling for a week, the customer still couldn’t resolve the issue and felt physically and mentally exhausted. Eventually, he realized that the problem stemmed from the filament’s shrinkage rate, which caused the dimensional inaccuracies.

Advantages of NextShapes’ Standard PLA

If you use NextShapes’ Standard PLA filament, you won’t have to worry about these issues.

NextShapes’ Standard PLA filament was developed over a year of dedicated research by our R&D team. It incorporates our proprietary nano-functional materials, resulting in exceptionally smooth surface textures and outstanding dimensional accuracy. For a 10 cm sample, the dimensional error can be controlled within ±0.1 mm, making the assembly process significantly easier and more precise.

Customer Feedback and Product Outlook

After showing the customer our Standard PLA filament and some sample prints, he was very satisfied and decided to purchase a few spools to try out.

Our product team remains committed to continuously improving the Standard PLA filament. Its high precision and ease of use will provide a smoother 3D printing and assembly experience for our users. We are confident that it will become the ideal choice for your future projects.

A customer recently reached out with a question: “Is your Standard PLA accurate in terms of print dimensions?
